Membership for the Emerald Society is broken down into Two types of Members.

Regular Members

A Member of The Nassau County Sheriff’s Department (Active or Retired) of Irish Descent, who was recommended for Membership by an Active or Former Member of the Emerald Society (The Association), that is (Active) or was (Former) in Good Standing.

Associate Members

A Member of The Nassau County Sheriff’s Department (Active or Retired) in Good Standing, who is NOT of Irish Descent. An Application must be Submitted and Approved. If Accepted to the Association, Membership Status will be Classified as an “Associate Member”. In addition to Standard Dues, a one-time Application Fee will be Due. Associate Members shall receive the same membership package as Regular Members but are not entitled to vote nor hold any Office in the Association.

The Nassau County Sheriff’s Emerald Society has a Constant Open Enrollment. Dues are $25 for the Calendar Year and can be Paid at Your First Meeting you attend for that Year.
